A native of Fayetteville, Dr. Walter B. Greene is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, specializing in pediatrics and adult foot and ankle.

After graduating with his bachelor of science degree from Davidson College, Dr. Greene received his medical degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He went on to complete a surgery internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Greene traveled back to North Carolina, where he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. Immediately following his residency, Dr. Greene was accepted to the pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Connecticut Children's Medical Center in Newington, Connecticut.

When Dr. Greene is not seeing patients, he is an active member of many associations, including American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, American Medical Soceity, and The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. He also serves as a team doctor for the Fayetteville FireAntz.
