Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is Expanding! As our office continues to grow we are thrilled to announce we are opening a fourth location to serve the Moore County community. This new office is located in Pinehurst at 40 Aviemore Dr and opens in January 2022.

Hip, Joint Replacement, Knee, Shoulder, and Sports Medicine Specialist – Dr. Bradley J. Broussard is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating injuries and conditions of the hip, knee, and shoulder. He also specializes in sports-related injuries and joint replacement.
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, he earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Broussard stayed at the same institution when he completed both his internship and orthopedic surgery residency before joining Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 1996.
Orthopedic Specialist – Dr. James P. Flanagan is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in all aspects of orthopedics, including treating injuries and conditions of the ankle, elbow, foot, hip, knee, and shoulder. He also specializes in joint replacement and sports-related injuries.
After graduating with his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University in Ohio, Dr. Flanagan earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. He remained at the same institution and completed his transitional internship and orthopedic surgery residency before joining Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 1997. Dr. Flanagan also serves as the chief of orthopedic surgery at Cape Fear Valley Health System. He is also a preceptor for the Duke Medical School Residency Program and an associate professor for the Physician Assistant Program at Methodist University.
PA – Eric Reisinger is a certified physician assistant who graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Education. He received his Masters of Medical Science from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Eric has served as a first assistant for surgical procedures including Total Hip Arthroplasties, Total and Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasties, and Total and Partial Knee Arthroplasties. He previously worked as an athletic trainer for the San Francisco Giants Baseball Organization and the United States Coast Guard Academy, in addition to working as a physician assistant in Maryland, Virginia, New Mexico, and North Carolina.
