Cape Fear Orthopedics: An Overview of Our Orthopedic Services

February 2, 2018adminUncategorized

Our Orthopedic Services

When Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine opened its doors in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1973, our goal was to provide the best orthopedic care to our patients. After over four decades of providing high quality orthopedic care to patients from Fayetteville and the surrounding areas of North Carolina, we are proud to say that our goal has not changed. Today, our team of highly trained orthopedic specialists provides more orthopedic services than ever.

The health and care of your musculoskeletal system is of utmost importance to us at Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine . Some of the services that we provide are Bone Density Testing, an Osteoporosis Clinic, X-ray services, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and an Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic.

Bone density testing is done to detect the loss of bone mass in the human body. At Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine we use the most advanced testing to determine if osteoporosis is present in the body. Once we determine how advanced the bone loss may be, our Orthopedic specialists work with the patient to come up with a plan to manage the condition.

While osteoporosis is preventable, it affects about 1 in 2 women and 1 in 4 men who are over the age of 50 to varying degrees. Fortunately, when detected, osteoporosis is also treatable. The physicians in our Osteoporosis Clinic help patients everyday manage their bone density loss so that they can prevent bone fractures.

We also offer on-site x-ray services to detect injuries to joints and other bone breaks. Our x-ray equipment is also used to detect common disorders like arthritis and osteoporosis.

Our physical and occupational therapists on staff work diligently with patients to come up with individual care plans that will put them on the track to faster healing. Our physical therapy specialities include orthopedic injuries, strengthening exercises, pre- and post surgical rehabilitation, and pain management.

Because we know that injuries are never planned, Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is happy to provide an Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic. This clinic is located at our Ferncreek Drive location in Fayetteville. The urgent care clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 7pm, Friday from 8am to 5pm, and Saturday from 10am to 1pm. You can call to schedule an urgent care appointment for Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm, or walk in from 5pm to 7pm. Saturdays are walk ins only from 10am to 1pm.
