Pediatric Care at Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine

Pediatric Care at Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
February 18, 2019adminChildren's Clinic

According to the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, it is estimated that three and a half million children under the age of fourteen are treated for sports related injuries in the United States every year. The same source reports that just among baseball and softball players, the number of shoulder and elbow injuries that occur have multiplied fivefold in the past two decades. When you take into account that sports injuries are only a part of the pediatric orthopedic care needs in the United States, it is safe to assume that there are millions and millions more children who are receiving orthopedic care every year in orthopedic clinics around the country.

The children’s clinic at Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine treats children with orthopedic needs and sports injuries every day. Our team of pediatric orthopedic care specialists are highly trained and board certified. More than that, they all possess a great desire to see the children of this community healthy and strong. Our children’s clinic operates under the mantra that we will do whatever it takes to promote healing in the body and we will do it with the best orthopedic healing practices available and with a positive attitude that transfers hope to the patient. In our children’s clinic, we have open lines of communication between our doctors and specialists and the patient and their parents. Together, we work to formulate plans of treatment both in the children’s clinic, and at home.

The Centers for Disease Control states that nearly seventy percent of sports related injuries in children are preventable. Some orthopedic conditions simply are not. As parents, we know that whatever the case may be, you do your best to protect them. When injuries do happen, or orthopedic conditions arise, Cape Fear Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is here for you. Among our orthopedic staff, they are in good hands.

Are you concerned that your child may need orthopedic care right now? Please give our children’s clinic a call today at (910) 484-2171 and set up an appointment for one of our Fayetteville, North Carolina locations.
